Q & A
Q. Do I need to seal my driveway every year?
A. Absolutely not. We highly recommend sealing every 2-3 years Sealer build up due to excessive sealing can potentially damage your asphalt.
Q. My neighbor seals his driveway every year. Should I do the same?
A. We do not recommend it..
Q. After I schedule to have my driveway sealed, when will you show up?
A. We will give you the day and a 4 hour window for when we will be there.
Q. If rain did not permit the job to be completed, when will Koester’s complete the job?
A. We will call to reschedule with the earliest opening available, within a couple of days.
Q What do I need to do to prepare for my driveway to be sealed?
A. Make sure your sprinkler system is turned off and any vehicles you may need are out of the garage. We take care of all cleaning and prep work; though we do ask if there is any sidewalk chalk on your driveway that it be washed off, sealer may not stick to those areas.
Q. How long until I can drive on my newly sealed driveway?
A. We recommend staying off the driveway for 24 hours.
Q. My driveway has power steering scuff marks, why is that? Will the marks go away?
A. Power steering scuff marks are caused by making sharp turns or pin wheeling your tires in place. For the first few days avoid these actions and be sure the car is moving before turning. The scuff marks will wear in usually within a week or less and will not harm the integrity of the sealer.
Q. How can I get my own rollerblade rink?
A. If you have the area available to place a personal court of any type at your house and the property has the accessibility needed to get the proper equipment to the job site, Koester’s Sealcoating can build you a tennis court, basketball court or rollerblade arena in your own back yard!
